Hetero-romantic is a term used to describe someone who is romantically attracted to only a gender opposite or different from one’s own.

The sexual counter part is Hetero-sexual. The two differ in that hetero-romantic is the romantic attraction to only a gender opposite or different from one’s own. Hetero-sexual is the sexual attraction to only a gender different or opposite from one’s own.

There may or may not be a sexual attraction for the gender that the hetero-romantic person is romantically attracted to.

A person can be heteromantic but asexual, bisexual, heterosexual, homosexual, or pansexual.
